Incoming Call Announcement...

Is there a way to turn off the announcement of the incoming call?

Since voiceover says the ID when you swipe to answer anyway, I'd prefer the number/name not be announced while the phone's ringing.

Anyone know a solution for this? Thanks much!

you don't have to swipe to answer, just double tap with two fingers.

There are several ways to set Voice over for what you want said or not. Go to alarts.
The simpe way if you are in company is to turn Voice Over off. If you aren't texting or something you don't need it. Press the home key 1 2 3 Voice Over off. Again 1 2 3 Voice over on. That way your girlfriend/boyfriend, or momma don't have to hear your text, or who's calling you. Lol

i think it's easier to just double tap with 2 fingers to answer rather than swipe.

Clearly the point got lost here. The point is one may not want the name/number anounced outloud. I sometimes have the speech turned off three finger double tap, this way it only reads when I wish it to do so.
